The recent Annual results were above everyone's expectations. While analysts have not upgraded their recommendations, its going to take another 6 mths of trading to change the negative bias. There is no doubt in my mind that there is concern about the market dynamics, and it is very much a case of 'wait and see'. The company has even acknowledged that due to the tough operating conditions, its going to have to spend to capture domestic market share. The question is; what is this going to do to margins?
As I have posted before, management are A-class. I also like the fact that Obis/Alan Gray are on the register - a bit of insto pressure is good and the increase in divs can be attributed to this. We are sitting on a 6% yield at the moment. That's excellent considering that the payout ratio is 50%.
