I think you will find that the shorts have been covering for weeks now, if you watch the trades you will see the attempt to cap a rise and trade volume through CX and mid point prices like 41.8c. Off market trades on daily averages are also appearing and LYC has dropped from the top 10% of shorted stocks on the ASX.
Volume is up and the SP short term averages are looking upwards but for mine the company is approaching a critical point where it will break up or down within the next 4 weeks according to my amateur charting.
Fundamentally it could break lower with the annual report and shorts ready for another run but could also break up with a positive announcement by the company.
I just see the old volatility coming back in about 4 weeks and this controlled churn getting more dangerous for the heavy hitters.
