I'm not sure the addition to the ASX 20 and ASX 50 has any material impact to the SP. Most funds will start pre-emptively rebalancing well before these announcements. S&P drip feed this data before the official rebalance and additions are announced.
Of course ASX say it's price sensitive, but I'd argue it's not price sensitive today specifically.
