The movements in PAR are interesting, it get's heavily whacked when the overall market get's whacked which in a tightly held stock you would not expect to see it decline as dramatically unless maybe HFT's are playing games with the illiquidity.
My experience with most instituional investors is that they make longer term buy hold bets, which adds to price stability rather than detracting. When pitching a stock as an institutional investor you can't just go and throw a couple of $m on PAR at a short term whim, you generally need to convince the team that your equity allocation idea is worthy. Entering into the ASX 300 will see passive Index funds having to hold the stock regardless and not trade it short term.
Today saw the ratio of sellers to Buyers increase almost at 2(Sellers)/3(Buyers) compared to the normal inbalance of much greater 3/1.
All just shanaigans in the short term and irrelivant to most of the boomers in the room (lol)
