But honestly do we even want to be included in the asx 200..
with our inclusion all that happened was that the index funds bought shares and then promptly lent them to shorters, who then used algorithm trading to drive the SP down...
today we have a much reduced trading volume because the game of artificial volumes created by hedge funds shorting / covering on a daily basis has now ended..
interestingly this normalised trading volume also means that days to cover (and hence risk) for the shorts is about to blow out ...
The shorts, at the witching hour, may close out 10-20 million open positions but that still leaves them with 50 million plus to close and no obvious way to do it...
even worse (for the shorts), they have now lost much of their ability to manipulate the SP given that the index funds are no longer a source of shares to short...
But honestly do we even want to be included in the asx 200..with...
