What a news for down rampers! Must be the first time they see ‘ quarterly rebalance’ , they would think that any stock kicked off a SP drop, and the stocks added in will roar. Really? Obviously ‘ no’.
Well, any 3rd party events which will be well predicted or planned are not news at all, it’s already ‘priced in’ before that day instead until on that day, that’s the one of the stock market features. SP of most if not all, rebalanced involved companies, the SP would be going generally smoothly as usual on rebalancing day though volume much higher due to many big parties in & out.
Eventually SP is reflected by the true value of a listed company thought many times it would be manipulated, sometimes badly, but it not be long to be ‘rebalanced’ by market.
