One thing is real....
We all know that announcements are coming, yes, as predicted, this was always going to be a quiet spell, yet I'm still hoping to hear two announcements before the month is out.
Is it overreaching, not in my opinion...why, because as the months are rather quickly slipping by, meaning, well, work it out for yourself, 13 business days left and we, funnily hit April fools day, the 1st.
Not a word that TSMC has actually started the production run.
A poster has already made the comment, that they believe (wink, wink) everything is on schedule for a March/April receipt of silicon in hand....sorry, I don't believe that wild speculation at all.
Nobody on this forum has or will, ever be given insider information from the key personnel within Brainchip, and if anybody should know it's me...I tried a few years back, but quickly realized that I wasn't anyone special, despite building friendly relationships with a number of staff..mutual respect and professionalism had to prevail.
Here is something that I can share, from an individual who happens to know what they're talking about.
You make your own conclusions, but it's an individual with a vision
My vision for self-driving cars (basically an intelligent robot vehicle) is that you teach it to drive like you teach a teenager. You can teach the intelligent device for instance; “watch out for that ball – there is usually a kid running after it”. It will also know the difference between a plastic bag blowing across the street and a rock by its behavior over time – rocks do not blow across the street, but they could roll down a slope. Once you teach the system all these things and it can drive safely, at that time you can copy what it has learned to thousands or millions of other Akidas in other vehicles. Each Akida then continues to learn as it gets more experience driving, just like we do.
Programmed self-driving cars will always have flaws, because it is impossible to foresee every action and event when the system is programmed or trained on a deep learning data set. We have seen that already in several accidents with the autopilots used in todays vehicles. The most dangerous time will be when programmed cars mingle with unpredictable human drivers.
