    By interesting I meant stupid, and WD have never struck me as (that) stupid.
    By additional cash I meant via the lawyers if WD were actually stupid enough to build product with 4DS IP prior to a purchase.

    Tongue in cheek post, but the subsequent clarity is beneficial to any who may have been misled by earlier posts, so thank you.
