It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to this removal from ASX200 news.

Has all the index fund activities occurred in preparation for this removal or shenanigans to come.

If we assume that some of these funds involve in lending activities, then you would expect something like this:

1. Funds recall their lent shares
2. Sharts to buy on market to close out their short positions
3. Funds to sell their shares
4. Someone to buy on market (new SHs, LTSHs or could be sharts creating new short position)

What would the above do to the SP?
Interesting to see how it plays out in the next few weeks, starting today.
