According to Shortman, shorts spiked on the 4th and 7th of March following the quarterly rebalance. After the 7th the spike completely reversed. EVS SP around that time was 18.5 cents down to 17 cents and shorts retreated to a modest 0.2% of capital. Since the 14th of March there has been some quiet short covering of 440 000 shares that have been bought back taking advantage of the low share price in combination with there being very few buyers out there in the market. That leaves around 2.388 million shares short as of March 30. A positive Q3 result ? tmrw would likely see most of them taken out in a flurry of trading at the start of trade.
