Why is this good news you may ask, for me its not owning of AGY, I already hold AGY in my Super, some platforms allow up to 5%, this increases as you re-rate to higher indices. The big kicker is what would of happened if we didn't get in? I have been looking at this since December rebalnace because you get this chance once a year!
I have looked at the effect on AVZ (do not hold now) since entering the ASX300, I see it as positive. I am unsure you can go from no index to the 300, but now we can move forward. When I calculated the top 500 we were in about 490-500th place, but there's been some wild movements in the last few weeks. I took a punt that we would get in and increased my holding.
