Pete, when companies join the ASX 300, big fund managers and super funds etc are obligated to buy shares in those companies as per their fund management policies and guidelines etc. whilst this can be a good short term boost to the share price, these funds also lend those shares out to shorters to earn interest on the shares. This can obviously have a negative effect on the share price. With liquidity being an issue for WA1 due to its low shares on issue, and supposedly tight register, I think the longer we stay away from the big boys and grow the company and project, the better off we will be in the long run.
All my opinion, I'm only an amatuer retail holder who got in early. Not as early as I would have liked though. But that is another story....
