ASX is also full of miners/resource companies, and commodities are extremely cyclical. Only the very big miners or the largest/low cost miners consistently stay (e.g PLS) in the indices. A whole bunch of lithium miners just got rotated out now that lithium prices/sentiment is rock bottom but with the rebound coming in, pretty high chance they'll be in line to rotate back in on the next rebalance if lithium prices don't collapse again.
