Mr DH. These instos and fundies have their finger in every pie. They take part respective they are in indices or not. They will have different allocations. Why would they want to miss out on potential companies that evolve from pennies to $$. They spread their investments to cover all. Just about. Yes they may win 1 out of 10 They sure know from history that they must spread their investments wider. Not just on blue chips.
