Insto's have rules, they cannot choose when to obey them... ASX200 is a precondition for a lot of funds, exiting the ASX200 means they cannot trade.
Its clear when you see the rise in shorts on the day we entered - why do you think they will take there time when exiting against the same rules? Its in the T&C's of their funds, they dont have a choice.
"More shares would have been available for the borrow when AVZ entered the 200; when AVZ leave the 200 the shorts don't need to be returned..!" - What are you smoking? No new shares were issued, the only difference is which shorters can enter - insto's are bound by ASX300 or less
