Why do you think the short sellers did not come in selling during the disaster period last week. Here are the latest short sell figures including last Wednesday when the massive sales took place and the short sellers actually decreased their sales: http://www.shortman.com.au/stock?q=bly
Can you tell me what would happen to short sellers if the shares were to go into administration or receivership and they are not able to buy the shares back. Would they still have to pay the lender interest over the administration period? Previously I had assumed that they would make 100% since the shares were likely to be worth zero.
I am not planning to become a short seller but I would like to understand what happens in these circumstances.
Also do you have a view as to why short sellers didn't come in heavily during that period when it really did look as if Boart was bugged (deliberately spelt wrongly)
