'a hiding today' = you are talking about today's price 'we need some news' = usual bleat for an announcement 'drilling application' = bleat echo 'strengthen some renewed interest' = we need an announcement so others will come in and buy and up the SP 'bit depressing' = you're sad today
context : announcements generally come from BNL management so a call for an announcement implies a call for BNL management to take action.
If you want folk to interpret your posts one way and one way only, you going to have to use a lot more words or arrange same number of words more pointily or throw in a chart or two.
Still, i imagine you're marginally less sad today. So that's nice.
