This is a very important announcement.
I understand a lot of short term investors probably wouldn't take note of this, but us LT investors would understand and appreciate the significance of this requirement. You cannot underestimate the importance of cheap transport at your doorstep, especially if that transport ends at Port Augusta.
"NeuRizer has submitted a proposal (formally known as an Unsolicited Proposal) to the South Australian government for NRZ to take ownership of the rail assets or to lease those assets on similar terms that existed when the Leigh Creek coalfield was in operation."
I would assume that the terms of when Leigh Creek Coalfield was active would be quite liberal and relatively cheap terms to maintain cheap coal prices. If they can get those terms, it would be fantastic. Even if they cannot get those terms, the cost of rail transport per km is far cheaper than trucking 1 million tons all that distance to Port Augusta.

Another reason why I think the NRUP is a well supported project across retail, wholesale and whole of govt entities. The fact that they have responded positively to an "unsolicited" request, speaks volumes IMHO.
Another major tick in the box in progress.
