It would depend who coughs up the $ to fix it. I am sure it will be Our responsibility to maintain it. I am Good with that.
Who supplies the loco/'s? and what is it driven with? Diesel and or LPG combo, Syn-gas, reciprocating or Gas generator/turbine? Many questions many options.LOL. Over the life of 30 years the Syn-gas would be favorable in my opinion. (yes there are environmental variables with every choice (a discussion for another day)) We have a constant supply for a set price!
It takes Broad minds to come up with the answer, I am sure they will find the right one.
Why dont you ask if a great solution you thought up would work?
As CourtShort mentions its wasting away at the moment.
