I am quietly confident that topical treatment for superficial diabetic foot ulcers, infected burns etc will be the low hanging fruit in studies and will have good results. I was concerned about their early diabetic studies examples that used deep infection including one with implanted metal that was expected to be healed with topical use. No doctor would think that, for example that sprinkling a bit of penicillin on the surface will help deep osteomyelitis. Nor would I expect RCE's drug to work topically for deep infection but it may be super for IV use.

People that make remarkable claims, must bring remarkable data.

It will still be multiple years before there are any approvals and sales. However the market may respond positively to any good news or the smell of a takeover.
