Yea sure, i agree.. However, there's a big difference between a t(1/2) of 10-30 mins vs. t(1/2) of 1-2+ h.. Variations in metabolism between subjects will also play a role.. The quicker the metabolism/clearance, the longer the subsequent infusion may need to be (and number of infusions) and the higher the risk of adverse events like cardiotoxicity or hepatotoxicity (as you suggested).. Reece's NOAEL studies in dogs at 10x efficacous concentration over 7 days suggests everything should be fine if it translates to humans (this is originally why i invested) - whilst no abnormalities were seen macroscopically and at the clinical chemistry level in their presentations, i don't think they've shown any data around histopathology..
