Hi GD,
On February 15th, in their "Tolukuma Tenement Renewed" announcement, FNT stated the following:
Additional Results Pending from EL2531
1. Assay results from 50 soil samples, taken over the Taula prospect 3D‐IP geophysical chargeability anomaly, are currently being processed by ALS laboratories in Brisbane.
2. The final batch of 119 trench and 38 rock samples taken from the Taula gold prospect are currently being processed by ALS laboratories in Brisbane. Results will be used to help confirm the continuity of mineralisation along the Taula vein to assist in determining drill hole locations with an aim to confirm continuity of mineralisation at depth and along strike.
I can't see any mention of a date that these assays were expected to be released to the market. Therefore, how can they be "almost 6 weeks late"?
I am also a bit impatient, however, given that ALS labs already had a well-known assaying backlog, as well as the fact that ALS have a whopping 50 soil samples, as well as 119 trench and 38 rock samples from Tuala to assay, I always thought that they would need at least 4 weeks in order to process all of these. There is of course also now the likelyhood that the recent flooding in Brisbane may have caused ALS some additional delays.
Of course after FNT have received the assay results from ALS, they must also check them and list them in an announcement acording to the JORC assay result reporting procedures. This could also take a week.
I would therefore suggest that FNT should announce the Tuala assay results within the next 1-2 weeks. At the same time, depending on how good these results are (they should be very good and thus confirm the continuity of the Gold mineralisation along the Taula vein), I expect FNT to announce their drilling program for 2022, which should include drilling at Saki, Kimono and Taula.
Cheers.
