This outcome is a poor reflection on Aussie O&G companies not prepared to take a risk to farm in. I would have thought that WPL ought to have been prepared to punt a few million with STO to get the job done. I suspect that MAY was running out of time and options and had to take this deal but it does make our future dependant on Cuba now. Still the cash will come in handy and obviate the need for a cap raise for a while so surely worth more than one pip on the SP!
