You can either treat trading as if you're running a business where you can claim losses against your earnings/ordinary income or you can treat your investments under CGT guidelines.

Hence why people are selling now @WhaleInvesta73 if for example you sell today for a $10,000 loss and you fall in the 37% tax bracket, you can claim $3,700 as a loss whereas the shares on market at $0.001 are worth only a fraction of that amount. So the incentive is there to sell, assuming you have gains to offset this loss with.
