Could you write to SB and management about this option I have brought this up in an email with SVG management a year or two ago. Necessity is the mother of invention - so we shall see.
It is the Green Gold (non cyanide) solution - low cost, but the recovery % was stated to be lower than cyanide methods some years ago (I think 96% or so). CSIRO may have improved upon this since. Perhaps good to ask them about ability to process in tropical rainfall weather, durability and reliability.
Noted the equipment will be NEW, and may be more reliable ___ and has support of CSIRO and Inventors. It's been trialed successfully with other miners (at low scale). May be A LOT cheaper that the $50m standard cyanide based plant.
Overhead costs may be less as no cynamide license or storage required and method is eco friendly. The upside for media feeds and interest for SVG to take this on may also attract investment back.
BigM's commentary on the difficulty with buying and refurbishing at old processing plant are noted (such as the mill drive breakdowns). Clearly they haven't been doing well so far in their project management if the share price, feed volume, % recovery, weather durability, haulage and downtime are used as measures of performance.
Maybe SB will be open to trying new things on his hoppy mine.
