What is an issue in my mind is the investment of something like $2.55 mio into some sort of investment company. Cannaglobal say on their website that they are "cannasmiths" for the cannabis industry. They help to build successful businesses in the cannabis industry. They are not going to claim that if there is no record of previous success? Essentially they are a venture capital company raising funds to buy up smaller operations in cannabis related industries generate some income and then go and float on the market.
If they are successful in this the 12.5% held by MXC could end up being worth a lot more than selling to another operator in the same business. Its a riskier approach but experienced venture capitalists with knowhow can make a big difference to valuations in a short time frame.
