It looks like the agribusiness sector is also heating up. A Canadian pension fund launched a bid for PSP Investments ($854m), a nut and livestock producer. Last month Ruralco accepted another Canadian offer ($469m). Elders also took over Australian Independent Rural Retailers.
All in all i think it is only Sydney/Melbourne bankers - shorters - who undervalue agribusiness. A MC ~2.5b with almost ~$1.2b made up in cash (obviously through the sale of the South American arm), yeah, that valuation is way off.
