Aside from being a well made ad (what working father wouldn't get pangs of vicarious sadness at Adil's dilemma?), I think what's really interesting in this is what it says more broadly about Pakistani society. Whereas Adil and Sara's generation usually grew up happily in humbler surrounds with many siblings, they have just one child and lots of expensive toys. There was a similar transition in Australia and other western countries a couple of decades earlier - during which we generally became more rootless and materialistic.
