Barrick wants out of the Super Pit, but only at the right price.
Newmont wants to own 100% of the Super Pit, but only at the right price.
NST reckons the Tanami is the new gold fields of Australia.
Newmont sells their Tanami operation to NST.
NST uses the proceeds from the sale of Plutonic plus other capital as Seth suggests to make the Tanami operations key to NST growth towards 1m oz p/a.
Barrick sells their Super Pit share to Newmont.
Newmont uses the proceeds from the Tanami sale to NST and also consolidates their OZ operations.
Barrick departs the OZ scene and reduces debt.
Everybody is happy.
