I hear you ‘woollydog’ and whilst the DVD / music store footprint has got smaller over the years it’s still got a foot in the niche physical media (in fact making a slight comeback as people revolt against too many streaming services) whilst the other players (Kmart, Target, Sanity, BigW) are / have exited giving us the whole paddock to play in. Amazon is more expensive and has no experience factor.
Was in JB on weekend flipping through the racks and was grinning when a bunch of 7-8 teens were talk music / movies. Then chuckled even more when 3 of them were lined up later with a stack of physical media at the counter.
Our product range in unison with the store and online experience are second to none. Coupled with our buying power through volume is on point.
