This an interesting development. On one hand it would appear that RHL were the only serious bidder for rural services, and they weren't strong enough...so will they or the other, previously mooted, bidders be prepared to lift their sights remains the question?
That said, if Futuris and Forestry combined, could achieve around $100 m, reducing debt to a tad over $200m (as I understand it?), would that leave the door open for a refinanced/restructured/renewed Rural Services operation to rise phoenix like from the ashes?
