I agree that there is not sufficient data to assess the risks of chemical sunscreens. But we have to consider the risk/reward ratio as a whole. And there is a randomised controlled trial proving the efficiency of traditional sunscrren in preventing both Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma ( with no harmfull effect)
But the are no Randomised Controlled Trials ( the gold standard in clinical research) for Zinc sunscreens ( i doubt ANO is in the process of funding one). I am not here to defend the chemical sunscreens manufacturers , but you can't have both ways regarding the evidence. The FDA is also not infaillible as we have seen in the opioid crisis in the U.S. where lobbies influenced some of its decision regarding the safety of Oxycontin.
If a FDA ban is a key to sales growth : when do you predict it will happen ( important for valuation)? I put the probability of that happening in the next 5 years at zero personally.
