I've long thought that ego is playing a role here, but that is pure gut instinct/speculation. I also wonder who they run these decisions by, what are the checks and balances/who provides business oversight? Things were ticking along so well before Spain - in hindsight it seems they just needed to consolidate all the hard work before expanding.
