IMHO on current indications there is virtually no chance the Greens will control the balance of power. They are in total disarray after the disgrace and resignation of their former co-leader Turei.
NZ First will probably hold the balance of power, and their leader Winston Peters is very pro-business and very anti-Green movement, I cannot see him allowing any threat to existing legal permits.
If government is formed with NZ First and National it is all good.
Otherwise if it is NZ First and Labour it should not be a problem either.
Labour are pro-jobs and mining is in their blood, they were formed on the West Coast from a miners union.
The Waihi area lives and breathes gold mining, it is the main employer in the area and a huge financial contributor to the local region. Labour want to show themselves as financially responsible and will not pull the plug on jobs and money.
So the outcome of the election should not be a problem for NTL either way.

Well that's the 2 cents bids cleared out.
