you may well be correct in the assessment that we have seen peak oil demand. If you are correct, the oil prices that STO and others are using may be way too high.

but I need to ask. If you have that view, why do you own STO shares??

i don’t share your view on oil demand, as it will continue to be used as the dominant source of transport fuel for the remainder of my life time. It also has many other uses in manufacturing, which cannot be replicated by wind solar ect. so there will always be a base level of demand.

you also need to think about supply. Exploration rates are way down and that will have an impact on future discoveries, developments and oil supply. FWIW
