The stock was $18 ten years ago (Jun 2008) and was $3 one year ago (June 2017). Harbor offered $5.30 three months ago and $6.50 one month ago and $6.96 one week ago. So, which one is the fair value?
If you are a trader, you may be annoyed by the rejection because you lost the chance to get some quick bucks. If you are a investor and want exposure to Aussie O&G stocks, STO is probably the best option ATM. Ask Ms Linda if it is true.
I am a Buffet fan and likes to 'buy low and hold'. If Ms Cook had offered $8, I would accept the offer. Based of the SP reaction after the offer, one should know that the deal would not go through, because the trading SP had been well below the offer price. The offer was too low, period.
