It's probably a moot point due to pumped hydro coming online in the next few years at any rate and the migration levels plummeting due to a pandemic that has no cure and probably never will. However the only reliable baseload energy is fossil outside of hydro and nukes.
They might change their tune as to taking on some of the costs when the real cost of toy windmills and solar panels start eating into the budget.
