Previously, Pirrawayingi (known by a single name) told the court any contact the company had with the Tiwi Land Council had not been communicated to the Munupi clan.

"When someone drills underground or in the sea and it's close to the proximity of your land, or your boundary in whitefella way — in our way, spiritually, they are drilling a hole in our body," he said.

Today we have “A Tiwi Traditional Owner is heading to the Federal Court in a bid to prevent Santos from building its Barossa gas export pipeline through ancestors’ burial grounds and Songlines, without proper assessment of significant risks to cultural heritage”.

The reasons seem to chop and change as needed, the Aust Govt funds the EDOs and as a result, Australia prime sovereign risk for investment.

Bathurst gas field is 260kms off shore and this pipeline requires no trenching or seabed disturbance, yet the courts to entertain end to end challenges.

Tiwi burial grounds 7km off shore? How can this be proved? How did mount the burial pole in 70 metres of water?

It seems the concept of proof only applies to one side.
