The possibilities are endless.
In conservation areas IOT devices can be used for tracking and monitoring wild life.
In rural areas they could be used for controlling water supply, measuring water quality, used in connection with aid relief ect.
IOT devices can be used in farming both on land and out at sea.

Not every place will have a tower, not every place will have a cable, but every where could have coverage via satellite.

I'm not taking away from @blisters post. Just adding to it and stating that the market is big enough for the multiple solutions to exist.

SAS just needs to cut it's slice of a VERY BIG pie in the future.
