The fact we're SYA investing further exploration $$$ into expanding the Tansim region says a fair bit about where they see themselves in terms of the NAL bid and Authier project. Then they are hiring a Yves D as director for Authier and to advance the BAPE process. You just don't do that if and spend that kind of money if you're not confident.
The NAL extension sound to me like the usual CATL in go-slow mode, but suspect this time they are pushing to be part of the winning consortium in SYA / PLL / Tesla such that they are involved in the downstream battery development in the Quebec Lithium Hub. Already they have a commercial relationship with Tesla and this would strengthen it.
Market seems to like the announcement.
