Of course they do . And because you wouldn't just think that it is in any small way a mere coincidence that BBA were on the ' World Class Team ' in the first place.
They have been involved with NAL since the Word ' Dot ' .....and virtually wrote or been involved in every single dam report on the Ni-43-101 since at least as far back as 2009 - 2010.
And you can see the flow of this by just stringing together a few of the noted comments from BOTH Bret and the JORC equivalent table from this current announcement.
And so while this should be no overall surprise to most , it is absolutely HUGE when you start connecting all the hidden ' Dots '
"Sayona’s Managing Director, Brett Lynch commented: “Based on the extra drilling conducted since 2017, we anticipate the potential for a
significant upgrade to the NAL resource base, which we aim to deliver before year‐end. "
“This only adds to the opportunity at NAL, which is the centre of our expanding Abitibi lithium hub supported by our Authier and Tansim Lithium
Projects. "
No more recent NI 43‐101 compliant resources estimate have beencompleted. Between 2017 and February 2019, approximately 1,689,000 tonnes were extracted from the pit at an average grade 1.11% Li2O. During the same period, 1,356,000 tonnes were milled at an average grade of 1.18% Li2O. Between May and July 2019 42 diamond drill holes approximating 12,000m were completed. This information is currently being accessed and validated.
Sayona plans to undertake geological modelling using all project data that is available combined with mining activities subsequent to the 2017 Foreign Estimate in order to complete an updated N43‐101 and JORC compliant resource estimate.
The La Corne NAL Mineral Resource foreign estimate was sourced from the BBA Inc NI 43‐101 Technical Report, ( what report and what date ? ) North American Lithium Project Feasibility Study, effective date August 24, 2017 and signature date September 7, 2017.
In fact one of their so called ' Technical Reports ' was dated May 2010 after the 2009 and 2010 drilling was completed. So they have been involved with this project and advising Sayona throughout the NAL BID campaign for a very long time indeed.
The Mineral Resource estimate was carried out by SGS Geostat (SGS) in accordance with the regulations from the Canadian Institute of Mining and NI43101 guidelines. The effective date of the resource is February 1, 2017.The Mineral Reserves for the project have been estimated as defined by NI 43‐101 and are valid as of 1 May 2017.
" The resource estimates have been subsequently modified due to mining activities and new drill information so that they do not represent a current NI 43‐101 report "
And then this .......
BBA Inc has been commissioned to complete a NI 43‐101 compliant resource estimate which is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2021. Funding for this work is by use of existing working capital.
In fact in that same 2010 Report from BBA , you will also find this little GEM of information where you will notice that back in 2009 , NAL had an agreement for Lithium Carbonate from non other than
Mitsui who is SIGMA LITHIUM''s primary and secondary off-take partner......
Notice also the ' Purity ' results for NAL's Carbonate based on previously submitted samples.......
16.2.10 Lithium Carbonate Production
Concurrent with the development of a floatation process for the recovery of Spd, a conceptualflowsheet was developed describing a process to recover a high grade lithium carbonateproduct from the floatation concentrate (Figure 16-6).
The overall process utilizes water leach followed by a two-stage purification process (Mackie,2010). The first stage of purification involves an oxidation precipitation of some of the majorimpurities in solution using lime. This process removes Al and Fe, two of the major impurities, from the Li solution. The second stage of purification removes Mn and Zn. A lithium carbonateproduct can then be precipitated from the purified Li process solution. This lithium carbonateproduct has an average calculated grade of 99.579% based on the contained impurities. Theuse of a bicarbonate decomposition method improved the calculated grade of the product to99.957%.
In April 2009, Canada Lithium signed a Marketing Agreement with Mitsui Corp. for thedistribution of battery-grade carbonate in Japan, China and Korea. In September 2009, the firstsamples were dispatched to Mitsui in Japan for marketing purposes. Table 16-4 shows theproperties of these samples
