Would love to share but sadly mate- the remaining biggish glass is merely 7 hours away from consumption ......it will be interesting to see how/if it's developed overnight with the cork stuck back in the bottle...these older wines tend to show more true character after a day or so.
I actually had an 86 Grange with a few mates late last year and it was amazing...really musty on opening but we let it sit for a few hours in a decanter and that mustiness blew off....was a minty mouthful of goodness.....I'm not sure how it had been stored but this example was probably just past it's peak and was probably the best time to have drunk it.
it was a real treat.....you';ll enjoy it , but maybe don't leave it too long unless you've cellared it well.....maybe the announcement of "commerciality" at Nomgon might be the right occasion !
