From what I have read, as long as you are considered a non-resident for tax purposes, you don’t have to pay CGT in Australia on gains from selling shares.
I’m in this situation and feel like I have to either sell GXY before the merger or have my allotment sold for me by the nominees after the merger. Not what I want!
