Luke Tonkin could and should have fronted SLR shareholders, like his counterpart did (Mark Williams) to explain the merger and take questions from shareholders. That the Silver Lake board didn't do so is very telling. Even better, Williams and Tonkin should have presented jointly and taken questions from both sets of shareholders.
