If we hold on to conversion to Holdco shares, do we (Aus Residents) have to pay US taxes? If anyone knows about this, appreciate a response. I went through the US taxes section in the scheme booklet but the legal jargon is difficult to comprehend. To me it appears that conversion does not trigger a capital gains tax event until one sells Holdco shares in Nasdaq. But how about the normal US taxes?
