Yes, end of an era. I would like to add that online aerial photos are an invaluable asset to society and to have one mob, Nearmap, operate with 9 fold operational margins indefinitely, is a toll on our economy that would benefit by more affordable and therefore more widely used aerial imagery. I was a heavy user of Nearmap in my last job, was crucial to discover/validate key issues. As a consultant, I got a price for the service and was astounded by how expensive it was. So bring on Aerometrex (AMX) and some decent competition in this space. At least there is still an aussie outfit sort of doing the Nearmap thing, albeit with some US technology that was bought out from Oz (Spookfish). I've held all three and made money but great tech should be profitable but not exhorbitantly so.
