Trading on AMU is often pretty thin - yes even when they're drilling. Not that unusual in exploration companies, either. Check the volume on TXN today, which is awaiting news on its potential company-making Eagle Ford Shale wells. Thin. Doesn't mean they won't bring a result.

Everybody knows the asset sale offers will have an impact on the share price one way or another. I'm of a view it is unlikely to get much worse myself. The SP has already moved back towards lows before the news of the unsolicited offers. Having some offers on the table, whether they're deemed too low or not, might help give a pointer to the higher value in the company's assets that isn't reflected in the current SP.
