You are right , as the only TRUE way to effectively keep , dramatically lower , and hold a below $100 /kwh of battery cells cost is to definitely ' Own ' the resource. Trouble is , almost ALL of these players including the Hack's being ski would never pass Australian ' Foreign Investment ' regulation's . Except if they were to manufacture the Cells or some compent right here in OZ I suppose.

Otherwise , it could soon become a ' National Interest ' argument in the same way as the LNG assets did when Shell tried to take out Woodside Petroleum many years ago. We would definitely have to have some of the Downstream manufacturing based here if ever a company like SKI would be allowed to make a play for AUZ Holus-bolus in my opinion.
