The screen fire assays that produced the bonanza grades were re-assays of previously announced assays. Screen fire assays pick up very coarse gold that is missed in normal assays. Given that the artisanal miners report very coarse gold in what was previously thought to be the low grade zone close to surface, I’d say that all of the previous assays will have to be re-done using screen fire and could go up substantially.
This is incredibly good news and the market doesn’t get it yet. It’s now likely that the lower grade zone at surface will turn into economic grades for open pit upon re-assay and the high grade zone at depth will be a bonanza grade underground resource.
