I think it depends on how much is offered and how many shares you hold, I have only ever been involved in one buy out and they offered 320% on the share value at the time of takeover and I held a reasonably large number of shares and I was able to re-invest in other opportunities , blue chips shares and a unit, that was very helpful at the time. So I think it depends on a number of factors!
